Teeth grinding (bruxism)

Bruxism is an unconscious movement of grinding of the teeth. This grinding or clenching of the teeth occurs mostly during sleep.

  • Wear and abrasion of teeth;
  • Headache;
  • Facial pain;
  • Jaw and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain in the morning.

There is still little information on this, but anxiety, fatigue and stress seem to be common triggers that can amplify bruxism.
